Men will react out of desire and greed while a woman will strategically think her actions all the way through. Is either right? Not at all but she has a way of being so cunning in her executions that it appears justifiable. Cheating is something that one may never see coming but all parties involved will be forced to face the damage that it creates long after the act.

"DOMESTIC VIOLENCE"

It’s recorded that every 9 seconds in the U.S a woman is assaulted or beaten.  With those statistics that would bring us to almost 7 women a minute which is insane. It’s also recorded that a man is severely assaulted by his wife or girlfriend every 14.6 seconds. Relationships will go through their challenges but when it becomes violent it ignites so much other dynamics; Children are affected, mental and physical damage, and sometimes death in the end. This is a serious issue that sadly takes the lives of up to three women a day in this country.

"BEING ENGAGED FOREVER"

WAKE UP LADIES!

A lot of women have accepted being engaged for what has turned into an eternity when in fact they are really ENTANGLED. By agreeing to something that has not been inclusive of love and good intentions some women have resorted to just settling and lowering their standards. Years and years go by and the only thing to show is a ring that has only fulfilled a public facade of being taken and claimed. It’s not easy to accept the reality that this marriage will most likely never take place because every year there is a glimmer of hope—but at some point it must be done. Engagements......in the times we reside in are what I deem as a suppressed and stalled act by Men. A ploy that he uses to control his woman and keep her under control which is an easy feat because all she may want is to say that she has a ring. As a man, I want to let you women know something about men. Men will straighten up in a heartbeat once they feel they are no longer a priority. Everything in this world passes through a woman so your power is indescribable. Sit firm in your standards and don’t compromise them just to not be alone. In life, what we accept is what we will have to expect.

Most of the time, these engagements transpire from ultimatums and conditions which are usually provoked by an act of infidelity in the relationship or the birth of a child.  As a result, he’s then forced to make this verbal promise that he has no intention of actually executing. He is on one page and she’s on another. Again, it is even questionable if marriage is really her goal because she will assume this position of fiance for YEARS. Statistically, it is said that engagements usually last 16 months.  Is the title of engagement and a ring a form of accomplishment and self-gratification that she only desires?  Could it just be the fancy of being called fiance rather than girlfriend?   Today, we are losing touch of the importance of marriage because we are focused on separations and divorce. Contributing to the bleak outlook is the ongoing cycle of non-commitment.  Also, there’s no dating, courting and taking the time to know a person that we have made a point of interest.

“RACE vs ETHNICITY….. THE CONFUSION”

Race; Each of the major divisions of humankind, having distinct physical characteristics.

Ethnicity;The fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition.

Specifically, inside the Black RACE and Culture there’s a constant act of inferior segregation because we can’t differentiate what race and ethnicity means. The lack of understanding the true meaning of each continues to create some confusion which results in pushing the race further apart. The definition of the two is very much similar and can bring so much different interpretations from one person to the next—creating debate. I do believe that in each race people are driven to disassociate themselves from their own race but emphasize their identities through their ethnicity's. The stereotypes, prejudices and stigmas are also contributing factors that add on to these misinterpretations that widely affect the Black culture……. "OWNING YOUR DESTINY"

At some point......YOU have reached that point where “enough is enough.” Tired of what cards you have chosen to play with has possibly left you frustrated. What we must understand is that nothing happens just because you are flustered with circumstances that you have chosen to accept. To correct it all, one must change it with actions that will not reflect the acceptance of complacency and comfort as an excuse. You must begin with a fresh and different mindset by cutting off all non-complimentary components and inheriting new attitude and approach. One thing for certain is that if you don’t make it happen for yourself, I doubt if someone is going to place something that will help you right in your lap. Step up and stand out by owning your destiny so that you claim what is rightfully yours and “grab the bull by the horns” which will in turn only build pride and appreciation……. “People Love what HATES them and Hate what LOVES them”

 

Interesting to say the least........what we need in our lives is exactly what we elect to resent and disregard by pushing it to the side. As a reaction, what’s for our betterment is treated as if it’s the cause of the problem. We continue to embrace and cherish what’s non-complimentary and what may have contempt toward us. Unfortunately, none of it adds up and it’s very conflicting but we live for the unnecessary imbalances. With Hate and Love being the most powerful forces of the emotional source—they are what we will endure in one facet or another as we live out each moment. As confusing as it may sound, people will love what hates them and hate what loves them in their relationships, friendships and overall life experiences. “VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER”

First and foremost I would like to send prayers out to the fallen angels and the families of those that have become victims of violent acts. Unfortunately, these senseless acts of violence continue to plague our general society as the innocent are being taken down by gunfire and a life is being depleted. There are sick individuals walking our streets that are abruptly exploding like time bombs, approaching their day with the intent of destroying the lives of others—forever. These acts of violent expressions are a reflection of unprovoked madness. They blatantly have no regard for their own life and others as they build these arsenals of weapons that we know nothing of until it’s too late. Our fight to diminish violence continues as we fight to control weapon acquisition and detect those that have bad intentions before they can harm others we are left to live in constant fear. One thing that we seem to discontinue is the fact that we are raising violent children by example of being violent parents. Not to rule out that we have drug and substance abuse that invokes a volatile behavior. You don’t know what to expect leaving your house or simply doing casual things that now seem riskier than walking into a war zone.
