On our latest segment of LET IT BE KNOWN LIVE RADIO our discussion addressed the pursuit versus the desire of money and how it immensely alters your person. That pursuit does a lot to one's character whether the money is actually gained or not. There were so many different angles raised by our exclusive panel on how this synthetic material has so much relevance through influence and power. I think that we would all agree that people are motivated by what money can do for them MORE than how they can use it to help others. The general question is....... If not for the pursuit, does one gain the adequate and essential experiences without it? "WANTING to be Great is just not enough"
BY AL KING
Let me just start off by saying that greatness will not ever come just solely based
on desire. Being great means that you have maximized your efforts to the best
of your god-given abilities and as a result you have achieved greatness. I
don't see any reason why that shouldn't be a goal for us all whether you
achieve it or not. Higher expectations will always raise the bar and yield more
character and spirit. But what happens when being great is not a goal; you have
the element of mediocrity in the equation. As we all know that same mediocrity
is a reward for being complacent. Someone has conjured up in their mind that
being great is not possible nor conceivable and just allowing what comes at
them is just enough. Many things contribute to where you naturally take things in
your life. After all, those experiences are what you have made significant in
your life. Let me get right back to those experiences which clearly set a tone.
Your circumstances that you have had to face will surely create a foundation
and galvanize your ambition and determination to correct what you felt was
uncomfortable. Even as I type away and write this post, I can recall being so
hungry (pun intended) for change that it strengthened not only my will
but my person.
It's strongly my belief that you have to go through something in order to
get through it and I thank GOD for putting me through it. The will to be great
is what will produce greatness—wanting it is just not enough. Going after
something with all of your focus and resilience is key. I've realized over and
over that there is a thin line between both "desire" and
"will." There are just those times and periods in our lives that we
are caught up in wanting something but haven't yet to follow it up with any
action. Divinely, what forces the shift of fruition is our determination and will
to get it done, regardless. What truly separates the possibilities from the
inevitable is the understanding that there’s no other alternative but to get it
done. Again, being great just means that you have connected to your purpose by
maximizing your efforts. Getting to that level will be predicated by sacrifice,
devotion and commitment so BE GREAT!

"SHOULD FAMILY SUPPORT FAMILY BY DEFAULT"
FAMILY FIRST
On our latest segment of "LET IT BE KNOWN LIVE" RADIO, our discussion ignited so much different perspectives on the topic of "FAMILY." There were so many different [personal] situations shared which only affirmed that support is a vital component that becomes a challenge in every family. I personally feel that support should be by default without any conditions attached but it was interesting to hear how others felt. One point that was emphasized is when that support is manipulated by other family members. In every family there's always that one key person that's always there for everyone that ends up feeling burdened and drained by the constant dilemma's of the family. So from that aspect it was agreed that a person should not compromise their own personal being just to support others...... "BOUNDARIES AND STANDARDS.....DEFINE YOU"
On our most recent segment of LET IT BE KNOWN LIVE RADIO, we discussed setting tones, guidelines and sustaining values. It's imperative that we understand that without Boundaries and Standards we only open ourselves up to be subjected to a line of disappointment and confusion. By constructing a level of accountability, we are then able to demand expectations from those that we encounter and co-exist within our life journey. Day in and day out, people will come and people will go but it's important that our values don't leave with them. So stand firm, be attentive and refuse to compromise under any conditions.
It was a very informative show with some great points raised by our exclusive panel and extraordinary listeners....... Listen back to the podcast here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/letitbeknownlive/2012/04/19/boundaries-and-standards-make-you

"THE POWER OF ONENESS"
BY AL KING
Ladies and Gentlemen, Kings and Queens, Matriarchs and Patriarchs...... it’s with extreme importance that you all realize the power of being in “ONENESS.” It’s attractive, imperative and it symbolizes stability. If you are looking to avoid a reality of being single for the remainder of your life, this is something that you should find in your best interest to absorb. Also, for those of you that are in relationships and marriage, I want you to really key in on this information. With addressing the significance of Oneness—one thing I can assure you all is that you will do your relationship an incredible service by being proficient within the concept of being in alignment. Instead of losing faith, you will now have so much to root for that will encompass the way two people should co-exist with one another. It’s a constant occurrence with a different relationship that is failing, two people that have not found a way to make it work. Most of them can be salvaged by simply incorporating a level of understanding. Some of these relationships are doomed right from the start because they are periled with all of the wrong methods to begin with. You can’t expect balance if there is no respect for the following variables from the beginning; maintenance, dedication, sacrifice and consistency.
What is the Power of Oneness? It’s the holistic harmony in a relationship that constitutes respect in every sector of the union. Both parties understand that they must work TOGETHER and not individually……..morally, financially and responsibly.
We get a breakdown in the face of the family structure, relationships and marriages all fail when there is a lack of oneness……… all because both individuals chose to remain their own separate entities. What you have now is a potent force of resistance that has taken over the entire equation and before you know it, everything imaginable begins to affect this arrangement—from trust issues to second-guessing your decision to be with this person. One very challenging variable to overcome that impedes a person from being able to collaborate with others is having been single for so long. They become so accustomed to being independent that the transition and expectations of merging with someone else is not in their intentions. At the same time, they like what comes in terms of the benefits from being with that person.
THE ADVANTAGE: by being in oneness, relationships and marriages can be stable while individualism is pushed to the side. Therefore, the concept of being in complete unison and co-existing with the person you have found to be your fit is exemplified.
THE DISADVANTAGE: contrary to belief, there’s no advantage in negating from the impact and significance of two people working as one. Two minds are better than one and strength will always come in numbers. Living a life of promiscuity as we all know is an open invitation for nothing but setbacks. Not only is it expensive to maintain that lifestyle but it is costly by all accounts.
Allow me to give you a few things to keep in mind as you look to remain or acquire oneness;
Hopefully, I have ignited some consciousness with this discussion on the power of oneness----a force that is so detrimental to the success of our relationships and marriages. Today, do yourself a favor and assess if you and your partner are even moving on the same page and if not, you need to make it happen. The strength comes in unification!

Allow me to give you a few things to keep in mind as you look to remain or acquire oneness;
· Inherit and respect the mindset of working, moving, being in existence with someone else.
· Do not make any decisions without your spouse. You must confer and attack everything collectively.
· Money is the root of most disagreements in a relationship. Either, it’s there and being mismanaged or the lack of it that causes strain. The bottom line is that all financial matters need to be discussed and resolved together.
· Do not place anyone in the middle of your relationship by keeping outside forces on the outside.

"LIVING IN AN ANDROGYNOUS ERA"
an·drog·y·nous
[an-droj-uh-nuhs]1.
being both male and female; hermaphroditic.
2.
having both masculine and feminine characteristics.
3.
having an ambiguous sexual identity.
On our latest segment of LET IT BE KNOWN LIVE RADIO, we discussed the androgynous presence that has become quite obvious in society today. It was interesting to hear the panel discussion break down their perspectives which touched on the possible causes. Single parenting was a topic where a mother having to develop a boy can become very overwhelming, depriving that male of masculine energy that is needed. Women that have actually resorted to exerting their masculinity due to circumstances was one thing that was also brought into the discussion. It was such a great show with so many points being raised....... listen back here to the podcast http://www.blogtalkradio.com/letitbeknownlive/2012/04/12/living-in-an-androgynous-era

BY AL KING
On our latest segment of LET IT BE KNOWN LIVE RADIO we discussed the ongoing issue of racial profiling that has systematically resulted in the harassment of many Black Men. It's not secret that law enforcement has stigma's and stereotypes in place that are exercised as long as you fit a particular profile. All of which are based on one's attire and the color of their skin. Being subjected to random searches whether you are walking or driving a vehicle, every Black Man has experienced this type of scrutiny.
